Last week I interviewed some of the members involved in the new build of the transport Interchange in Gloucester City Centre.
We spoke with one of the Architects from BDP, Mathew Mayes based in Bristol who helped oversee the design and initial concept for the project. He explains some of the ideas for the transport Interchange as well as materials used.

We also spoke with Gloucester City Council Leader Paul James, Pre-Construction Manager at Kier Construction, Andy Bolas and Deputy Chief Executive at GFirst LEP, Dev Chakraborty.

They each discuss how the project plays its part in the regeneration of Gloucester and is the first of multiple new phases to take a place in the city.
The video was created to be played at the Topping Out Ceremony which took place on Friday 12th May.
The idea was to help showcase the work to date as well give confidence to the people of Gloucestershire that money is being spent on the city and that there are some exciting times ahead. This includes the development at Blackfriars & Quayside, The Digital, Retail & Innovation Centre at the Eastgate Shopping Centre, The South West Bypass as well as The Gloucester Railway Station.
It’s great to see that Gloucester is becoming a sought-after city and people are coming back more and more after visiting.
